My name is Lola and I have been training and a counsellor since age 18. I am now fully qualified and a member of the BACP.

We can all experience difficulties and loss in our lives, at home, work and in our relationships. Counselling can help you to improve how you manage and cope with these difficult times.

What I Offer

My aim is to offer you a calm, non-judgemental and respectful place to explore your thoughts and feelings, in a way that makes sense.

I am trained to listen, and my approach and manner is gentle and calm. I like to create a safe, supportive and accepting place for you to talk and process things that may be causing you distress.
Often, loss, stress, anxiety, low mood and lack of sleep can make you feel helpless and talking to someone who can understand and empathise can help tackle these issues, enabling you to create a sense of being able to cope and manage whatever it is you may be facing or going through.

Experience

I have experience working with loss, trauma, depression and anxiety, loss of health, self-harm, domestic abuse and self-image.

I have also trained in domestic abuse recovery and helped survivors on their journey to healing. I have trained in self-harm, mental health first aid, depression and anxiety in young adults.

I have a passion for horses and the power of horses to provide calm and strength. Horse therapy is called “equine therapy”… obviously I can’t give you a horse for your home! But if you love animals we will probably connect well.

My qualifications

Level 2 counselling skills, Level 3 counselling studies, Level 4 diploma counselling

My fees

£40 an hour but you can do less for lower incomes. I offer packages, for example, 6 sessions for £160 instead of £40 each. Or 3 for £90.

Please contact me if you want any more information. I look forward to speaking with you.
